ENTRIES:

  • Entry Forms & Fees Due:   Saturday, April 8th by 5:00pm

  • Stall Fees: $8.00 per Heead,  $15 per head for replacement heifers

  • Show Limit: 2 Animals per Class

RULES:

  • Must be under owners care and management for 60 days. Proof of Ownership, Bill of Sale required

  • American System of Judging

  • All breeds judged together

  • 4-H/FFA/Grange judged together

  • All age descriptions are based on show day

  • All Cattle must have yellow haul slips available during weigh in for the brand inspector. (Even if yellow slip was used as proof of ownership at time of entry)

  1. COW/CALF:  Cow may be any age but calf must be nursing and born between 9/13/2016 and 5/19/2017.

  • Flock numbers shall be used to identify all entries.  Numbers shall be on regular and practical tags attached to the ear or tattooed in the ear

  • Any Exhibitor may not use the same flock number on more than one animal during any two consecutive calendar years

  • All age descriptions are based on show day

  • American System of Judging

  • All breeds judged together

  • 4-H/FFA/Grange judged together

  • All goats must have scrapie identification, or registration tattoos or electronic identification

  • All goats must have legible tattoos or other means of permanent identification

  • Any female over 24 months in age that has not kidded, and cannot prove current pregnancy, will not be allowed to show.

  • Registered and unregistered meat goats will be accepted.  All goats must be of meat type breeding.

  • All age descriptions are based on show day

DIVISION 631 – Doe – Recorded Grade/Unregistered

  1. Jr. Kid - Born on or after April 1st of the exhibit year

  2. Intermediate Kid - Born March of the exhibit year

  3. Sr. Kid - Born January 1st to February 29th of the exhibit year

  4. Yearlings not in milk - Born in the year preceding the exhibit year

  5. Yearling Milker - Born in the year preceding the exhibit year

  6. 2 Year Olds -  At least 2 years of age, but under 3 years of age

  7. 3 Year Ol - At least 3 years of age, but under 4 years of age

  8. 4 Year Olds - At least 4 years of age, but under 5 years of age

  9. 5 Year Olds  -5 years of age or older

 

 

ALPACA/LLAMA…

DEPARTMENT 318 - DIVISIONS 710-719

 

ENTRIES:

Stall Fee: $8.00 per Class

Show Limit: 2 Entries per Class

Entries Arrival & Judged: See Livestock Schedule

Entries Released:  Animals & Tack – Saturday, May 13th following show.

 

Rules

  • Refer to State and Local Rules, which apply to these divisions.

  • 4-H/FFA/Grange judged together

  • American System of Judging

  • Management has authorization to cancel show should there not be enough entries.  Leases must be turned into the fair 120 prior to the show.

  • Youth exhibitors must own or lease and have trained their own llama.  Llamas shown by an adult within the past year are not eligible for the Open Youth Llama Show.

  • Llamas must have a halter on at all times while on the fairgrounds.

  • Exhibitors are responsible for all grooming of their llama.

  • Llamas 12 months and older shall be eligible to enter the pack class.  Llamas shall wear a pack with fill material.  All packs must have two cinches.  Llamas over 36 months may carry up to 25 lbs. in the Intermediate Class.

  •  

  • Alpacas may not be used in the Youth Pack Classes.  Exhibitors may substitute a llama for Youth Pack Classes if the llama they are using for the said classes is not yet 18 months old or if they are using an alpaca in other youth classes.

  • Qualifying classes for the Junior Grand Champion & Junior Reserve Grand Champion and the Intermediate Grand Champion & Intermediate Reserve Grand Champion exhibit shall be the following:  Public Relations Obstacle, Obstacle and the Packers Obstacle.

  • Champions will be determined using a high point sliding scale based on the number of entries per class and individual placement.
