Animals used in showmanship must be shown in individual classes.

Exhibitors must use their own animal in showmanship.

The first, second and third place winners of any showmanship class may advance to the next level of showing to compete.

An Exhibitor may compete in a more advanced category if they feel their age or skills warrant it, but once he or she has competed at that level, you may never compete in a lower category.

Independent Exhibitors show with 4-H or FFA by on the age of the exhibitor.

The 1st place 4-H/Grange, FFA advanced showmanship winner must notify the livestock office within one hour of the showmanship class if he/she wishes to compete in Round Robin. If the 1st place winner does not wish to compete, the 2nd place winner will be notified and given the option to compete.

4-H/Grange Pre Novice: Limited to primary exhibitors only (K-3). Participation Only
-
4-H/Grange Novice: An exhibitor, 7th grade and under, enrolled in this project for no more than two years and has not placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a showmanship class for that species.

4-H/Grange Intermediate: An exhibitor enrolled in this project for no more than three years or who has never placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an intermediate or advanced showmanship class in that species or a showmanship class.

4-H/Grange Advanced: An exhibitor who has shown in advanced large animal showmanship or has placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an intermediate large animal showmanship class.

FFA/Grange Novice: An exhibitor who is entered in the project for the first time, who has never shown that species in any official event, or in any organization, and who have never won a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ribbon in that species.

FFA/Grange Expert: FFA or Grange exhibitors are selected by the judge during the market or breed show to compete based on their performance in the said classes. For clerical purposes, please list on entry form.

The 1st place 4-H/Grange, FFA advanced showmanship winner must notify the livestock office within one hour of the showmanship class if he/she wishes to compete in Round Robin. If the 1st place winner does not wish to compete, the 2nd place winner will be notified and given the option to compete.

If an Exhibitor has won the Round Robin award three times, he/she is not eligible to compete in the 2016 Round Robin competition.

Exhibitor must bring his/her own animal to the Round Robin competition (Except dogs which will be provided by the fair. Llamas will not be part of the competition however the 1st place llama exhibitor will have the option to compete in Round Robin.)

The Round Robin competition will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2016 with the small animal competition at 10 a.m. and the large animal competition beginning at 1 p.m.

Exhibitors awarded 1st place in advanced 4-H/Grange/FFA Llama Showmanship may choose to compete in Round Robin. However, on the day of show, llamas will not be part of the competition only the llama exhibitor will compete in Round Robin.

COUNTY FAIR BEST OF SHOW COMPETITION
MASTER SHOWMANSHIP
This special competition is open to exhibitors winning the Master Showmanship or Round Robin Showmanship in large animal livestock competitions (beef, sheep, swine, dairy cattle, meat goats, horse and dairy goats) or in small animal competitions (poultry, rabbit, dog, pygmy goats and cavy) at their County, District or Citrus Fair.
Entries will be judged based on the American System of judging. Special State Fair rosettes will be awarded to all participants.

The Herdsman Competition is designed to encourage the Clubs/Chapters to maintain their exhibits at the highest standard of efficiency and attractiveness throughout the duration of this Jr. Livestock Show.

The Herdsman Competition must be carried out with no adult assistance.
